The Postnatal Support Network (PSN) addresses the importance of a well-prepared and relaxing 40-day postnatal resting and bonding time. It is an international organization which informs families-to-be about this special and delicate time after birth. Via a web-based service PSN coordinates the support for families and it provides trainings for those interested in becoming postnatal ‘helpers’ – carers who can give holistic non-medical support during the postnatal period.
For our international Postnatal Support Network charity, we are looking for a director that gives hands, feet and wings to our charity’s objective of promoting a healthy start for mother and child. With a solid background in business and administration the Director is responsible for the successful leadership and day-to-day management of the organization. The director has strong administrative skills and, as a well-versed communicator, is able to position her-/himself as a spokesperson for the charity. Ideally, she/he has a profound knowledge of the birth world and is well-connected there. The director works on developing a strategy which enables a solid foundation for our organization. She/he inspires our team and gives guidance. A very good command of the English language is necessary.
The compensation for this position is 500 EUR monthly for 8 hours a week.
• Managing the day-to-day work and projects, in alignment with the overall vision of the charity
• Developing new ideas and strategies to improve our work as charity as well as installing a structure which makes it possible to realize these ideas
• Safeguarding the educational/ training objectives and the curriculum of the training.
• Reporting to the charity’s board and participating in board meetings.
• Acting as a spokesperson for the charity and conduct official correspondence on behalf of the board, representing our charity at public and networking events and on social media
• Financial planning and managing the yearly budget (with the help of a bookkeeper)
• Fundraising and actively finding new sources of income for the charity (in cooperation with a professional fundraiser)
• Manage the documentation of our work
• We will offer a 1 year agreement based on a freelance position. Every year we are able to renew this agreement.
